      On November 27, "calligraphy and painting exhibition of 70 years of the National Museum System" opened in Henan Museum, sponsored by the Henan Museum of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. Deputy Director of the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center, Shūmei; Director of the Henan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, Tian Kai; and Party Secretary of the Henan Museum, Wan Jie, attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Vice President of the Henan Museum, Zhang Deshui.

     Shūmei, deputy director of the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center, pointed out at the opening ceremony that over the years, the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center, the Henan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and the Henan Museum have supported each other and jointly created splendid achievements in the exchange of cultural relics exhibitions, the precious collection of Henan Province can be seen in many well-known cultural relics exhibitions at home and abroad. The Exhibition of Calligraphy and painting for the two sides to write a new chapter of cooperation, but also foreshadows the future cooperation will bear more fruitful results.

      Tian Kai, director of the Henan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, said that the 107 works on display are invited works of the National Cultural Museum system, with a wide range of contents and rich themes. This exhibition includes the works of Mr. Xie Zhiliu, the famous "appraisal group of ancient Chinese painting and calligraphy" of the 1980s, and the works of Mr. Xie Wuliang, Mr. Sha Menghai, Mr. Wang Shixiang, etc. , there are also calligraphy works by veteran leaders of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, such as Sun Yiqing, Zhang Deqin, Lawrence Zhang Wenbin, and Li Xiaojie. Especially the 98-year-old Mr. Xie Chensheng specially for the exhibition writing "inheritance" two words, has revealed the past dynasties Wenbo Person's original intention and perseveres.

      The vast number of cultural heritage workers are not only the Guardian and disseminators, but also the inheritors of painting and calligraphy. In order to carry out the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important directive of making cultural relics "come to life, " the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center jointly organized a national roving exhibition and an online exhibition on "writing and passing on" in 2019, at the same time, it presents the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China with the artistic feelings and the spirit of the Times. The Henan Museum is the fifth in the series after the Xining Museum, the Shanxi Museum, the Xuzhou Museum and the Zhejiang Provincial Museum.

      Visitors will be able to visit the second floor of the East wing of the Henan Museum for free on Nov. 26, as from Dec. 6.
