Henan Province, the fifth paper-based Cultural Relics Protection and restoration technology training course successfully concluded

On September 29, the Fifth Paper Cultural Relics Protection and restoration technology training course in Henan Province, hosted by the Henan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and hosted by the Henan Museum, successfully concluded at the Henan Museum.  Ma Xiaolin first expressed his heartfelt congratulations on the successful completion of the course and thanked the Henan Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics for its long-term support for the conservation and restoration of paper-based cultural relics. He mentioned that Henan Province has successfully held five training courses on the conservation and restoration of paper-based cultural relics, and has trained nearly 100 technicians in the conservation and restoration of paper-based cultural relics for the province's cultural museum system, the hard work of the teachers, the training of professional and technical personnel, for the province's paper heritage conservation work to make contributions. He stressed that conservation work is the foundation of scientific research is a breakthrough. In the future, we should strengthen the construction of scientific research team, and focus on building the cultural protection center into an influential cultural relic protection research base in China, so as to better serve the development of cultural and museum undertakings. He asked the students to return to their jobs, one is to apply what they have learned and actively engage in the work of protecting paper-based cultural relics, and the other is to work hard and constantly improve their skills and have a sense of awe for the work of protecting and restoring paper-based cultural relics, third, we should strengthen communication, exchange, learn from each other, and work together to solve the problems in the work.

She stressed that in recent years, the scientific and technological protection of cultural relics in Henan Province has developed rapidly, there are a large number of museum collections of rotten paper relics in our province in urgent need of protection and restoration, grass-roots cultural museum units urgently need to strengthen the team of paper relics protection and restoration personnel. Henan Paper Cultural Relics Protection and restoration technology training class is a brand project of the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and the Henan Museum, the Paper Cultural Relics Protection and restoration technology strength, you are very lucky to be able to study in the museum's newly renovated Wenbao building. At the graduation ceremony, Wang Ruiqin asked the students to report the results of the training to the leaders after returning to the unit, to actively carry out relevant work, to take up the task of disease investigation for the unit and the area under their jurisdiction. I hope that the students take this training as a starting point, and continue to strengthen the study of cultural relics protection, paper-based cultural relics protection and restoration work in our province to make more contributions to the provincial bureau of valuable opinions and suggestions, together for the protection of cultural relics in our province.

It is reported that apart from inviting well-known experts in China to give lectures on the theory of conservation and restoration of paper-based cultural relics, the training paid special attention to practical training. Under the operational guidance of the training teacher, the students completed the mounting contents of eight teaching works, to participate in the restoration of 15 pieces of 17 antique paintings and Calligraphic Artefacts in the museum collection. At the same time, each student has put together his or her own notes of learning and restoration, and made a conservation file, four papers on conservation and restoration of related cultural relics submitted by the team. Through the close combination of theory and practice, strive to make every student in theory and practice ability have a different degree of improvement. The leaders who took part in the final examination listened to the final report of the students'representatives in the paper conservation room, inspected the students'study notes together, and looked at the students'restoration results one by one. And agreed to participate in the training of 16 students all passed the examination, obtained by the Henan Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics issued by the post training certificate.
